Councils
The Spencer Group works with many local authorities, both in solar and the engineering sector. We provide solar solutions nationwide and are framework contractors for Oxfordshire County Council, Wrexham County Borough Council, The Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation, and North East Purchasing Organisation.
We have installed commercial solar PV systems for councils including Forest Heath District Council, St Edmundsbury Borough Council and are currently in contract to deliver a number of installations on behalf of London Borough of Merton.
We also work with YEDL to replace asbestos meters in more than 1500 properties – often requiring full power outages during commercial trading hours. Competent personnel, able to plan complex work during busy times, are required on these projects. They must deal with high voltage equipment and potentially hazardous materials. The YEDL team also work on residential properties, with requirements similar to Solar installs. They follow a strict code of access and engagement, to ensure tenant satisfaction.
Due to an established supply chain, Spencer Solar is a sole distributor of a number of solar PV products in the UK market. These include solutions for industrial solar PV and commercial solar PV of high efficiency and low cost, the primary drivers of local authority installations.
